16 months in a short blog

Hello all

Well the last 16 months have taken their toll on me.  Health wise I am not brilliant at the mo.  Neither me not the hubby have been well since Boxing Day 2014.

But I have a new Guitar for myself and I am getting used to paying again after 23 years.

Only 1 person knew what I was buying for myself so gave them the task of naming him.  She called him Ferdinand and it has stuck.

Trying to get some time each day to play him can proof difficult but I am trying to do it.

This last 12 months has been really difficult for my extended family my daughter has had loads of problems with one of her childrens' health.  1 good thing that happened is that my brother got married in Oct to a very beautiful lady.  But his health have not been good since December either.
Work is hard going, but whose isn't these days .
Good friends and family have been the key to keeping me sane this last few months.

    New year 2014

So what is going to happen this year.  Don't know but it has to be better than last year.
last year can be spelt by the word
    TROUBLE x infinity.

Had a really difficult year and still no end to the tunnel but hey that's life.  Just wish we could have a easier couple of years.  But cant see that happening.

Best thing that happened last year, I gained an Adult daughter, My sister in law asked me to become her mom and i had no hesitation in saying yes.
    Worth the wait I say.

So what are my resolutions for this year.

Use what I have and not buy more than i need for my craft stuff.

    Short and Sweet

Well  long time no speak to blog land.
not much happening apart from I am doing a lot of new digi scrapbooking and ordinary scrap booking.  I did a session before Christmas at church and they all want another session doing, maybe do some cards  aswell as a scrapbook page.

Everyone who came did a page and none of them had ever done anything like it before.  But they all did well.  I am doing another very short taster session at a library in Sandwell in March and that is for complete beginners. 8x8 (inch) pages not 12x12 (inch) as I only have an hour.

But i have been asked to do some more sessions at another library soon so need to work on something to for that as well.

I enjoy doing scrapbooking, but when doing it with a lot of people, it can be draining, if you are doing it on your own; but also very fulfilling as well.

Anyway not much from me today.

Lots to do and lots to prepare.

Nite Nite to all of Blog land

Trips over the last 3 monhts

    Hello Everyone

No blogging done over the last few months.  But now the weather is horrible I decided to look through the photos of the last few months.  After probably the worst start to a year me and the hubby have had, we were going to go away just for a night and that day my hubby lost his job so we could not afford or had the inclination to go.  After 5 months he got work and so we decided to go and get our life back on track.
So here are some of the photos from our weekend away.

The view from the farm road to Winwick in Northamptonshire

Very soon this may not be the view you see as there are plans to put up some wind turbines

When you get to the village there is a beautiful 13th century Church.  It has some very beautiful windows, it is a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place to be and collect your thoughts.

At the top of the village road there is a set of gates and they hide the entrance to Winwick Hall.
The gates are very large and impressive but beautifully made as well.
This is what they are hiding, Winwick Hall.  I like this building as it is such a surprise to find this in the Village, which also has a Manor house as well.  I may need to find out some more information about both of them.

The gates are attached to a Crinkle Crankle wall, I have never found another wall like this anywhere.  Maybe you know better?
Here are me and Si after our walk and feeling very relaxed.

Now we just have to get Christmas finalised and then we can start next year on a high.

Hope you like my photos, please comment.
