Well today has finally proved how tiring doing nothing normal can be.
Sinus pain, eyes aching and trying to motivate myslef to carry on working form home has got a bit much.
How are you all coping.
Bored now want to get back to whatever normal was.
I cannot celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary as I wanted to but never will it be able to be celebrated at all.
So tired and exhausted but there are workers out thier that need to keep going, the carers, parents, NHS staff, the police, firemen, paramedics, shop workers, delivery drivers childcare providers, and those who keep the supply chain going.
All these people need a big hug when this is over. They have saved our country.
The morons who keep flouting the guidelines should be put to work in the COVID wards cleaning away the waste products of the patients. That wouild teach them.
Sorry me ranting again. But the idiots who will congrate on beaches in parks etc are stupid and only prolonging the situation. And the 60 people at a funeral. What were you thinking off. There have been several people I have lost and I cannot attend thier funeral because I try not to flount the regulations. Just do as you are told.
This week is the biggest week in the Christian calender but they wont be able to congrete and celebrate. It is also Passover and that is a big family time and those who
Think about those people who would be clebrating for religious reasons this weekend and remember that they cant meet so why should you meet up with your mates and creaqte problems for the whole of the public not just a few but EVERYONE
STAY AT HOME and protect the wider public from having to be in a prolonged lockdown.
What is the world like through my eyes. Through work, rest and play come and find out

Parents and educating at home
To all the parents trying to educate thier kids at the moment.
Your children are are trying to adjust to this situation as much as you are at the moment. This is a strange situation for everyone. Teachers, pupils and parents alike.
If your child cannot do something dont get upset with them. They are struggling to get thier head around concepts that a teacher would normally teach. You are not teachers normally and so things will get stressful.
Be careful to assure your child that you are still their parent/s, that school will start but not sure when. Allow them time to adjust and yourselves to adjust.
If possible dont make them work in their bedroom as they need a space to ESCAPE to. just like you will.

Try to keep it fun and dont forget that even if you start to get stressed, this will not help your child.
Please take time out forself aswell.
Dont stress you are not proffessionals and this situaton is not going to be here forever.
Above all encourage your child and reassure them it is okay to make mistakes as that is how we all learn in the end.
Thia is my response after seeing someone today whose child was in distress at the amount of work
they are expected to do. Parents are struggling with this as much as the kids. The child's mom was distraught and anxious. I could do nothing to help as I cant go and see them, until we are out of lockdown.
What would you do?

Day 4
What hae I been doing today
1 cooking for the coming weeks
2 working in the garden
3 thinking about what I can do at the lottie
4 trying to keep peoples spirits up in this troubling time
5 hoping that my house will be finished before the government tells builders that they have to stop.
6 looking forward to when we can have a"normal " life again
I am tired of hearing in every news broadcast nothing but CV, I did hear that the longest held hostage in the middle east has passed away. I believe he was still in captivity (since 2007) And we think we have it bad............!
What can I talk about today that is not CVrelated.
I know I actually cooked rice correctly for the first time in years, Mainly out of necessity but I was plesaed with myself.
Can anyone give me some ideas of what to do to keep myself going. I have not written in my journal for nearly 12 months now and I really miss it.
I miss beng able to have a hug from my friends and give ine to them when they are distressed.
What things are you missing?
Meals out
seeing friends
going to work????????
Just basic freedoms that we take for granted.
But think about this
The people who had OCD will be at their wits end and even more obsessive. Who is there to help them.
The agrophobic who is always scared will be even more frightened no terrified to leae the house .
The parent now being asked to educate thier child or children and they cant read or write or left school without an exam to their name. How inadequate do they feel.
The person who goes to work to have company and now has to work alone at home. What is there in place for them.
The lonely, scared, ill equipped, what is there for them during and after this CV crisis. How will they return to a so called "normal" life.
What is in place for the lone trader who has now lost thier livelihood, the self employed with no money coming and and still having bills to pay,
The pensioner who never sees anybody at the best of times now sees nobody, isolated and afraid everytime the door goes.
The families who are bereaved and cannot give thier relative or friend the send off they wanted to give them,
The marriages that cant take place
The people who will die during this crisis and people wont know about until they get back to normality and realise that someine is missing.
This pandemic is catastrophic and unpreceedented.
It hit the world like a tsunami
Will it leave as quickly as it came
like a thief in the night, who steals the most precious things we have and leaves a trail of devestation in thier wake.
Are there any positives in all this
1 humanity is helping humanity
2 neighbours are trying to help thier neighbours
3 people are seeing new sides to thier communities and localites
4 People are trying to support others
5 People are realising that isolation does not mean you are on your own.
Sigining off for now

The end of another day
Well today has been a funny one, work has been quiet but still lots to do. There is an strange silence about and it is deafening. What can you do when people wont come out but instead they go shopping and still want more to fill thier houses with and not leave some for people who can only afford to do a small shop as they are on limited funds.
Shop local is the by word at the moment but not everyone can do that, What if they live in a small village or in the middle of nowhere and the nearest "local shop" is 5 or 10 miles away. They are already at a disadvantage. Check on your nieghbours if you can. If you have been stockpiling for your own needs then try sharing it with those who cant get out. It may even make you a new friend, If you dont try you will never know.
What can I say to cheer people up tonight, be safe, be careful that might be seen as a trite comment but it may also be heartfelt as well. Every time I have a take away delivered, I always say to the driver, have a safe night.
You never know who they may be delievering to. Stress and none socialising can make people very depressed or angry so wishing them a safe night is not a trite thing to do.
As they used to say on Hill Street Blues
Stay safe out there.
Remember these people are coming to your door with your evening meal etc and they dont know who or what they may encounter.
Encourage these people as they dont get much from some people.
This was emphasised today at work when the cleaner said that the staff all get praised fror thier hard work during this crisis but the people who have to clean up after the public dont get any recognistion.
So to all the unseen workers, cleaners, street cleaners, care workers the HSA's and dinnerladies, the delievery pizza and takeaway drivers, the peoplehelping thier neighbours when they should be at home resting, the churches, mosques, temples, synagoges and other places of worship that are proving that they can see past the creed, colour and gender of someone and just see humanity at its best and worse and still provide food, shelter and help without being asked or expected.
Thank you for doing all those thankless jobs that no-one else wants to do etc and consider yourself prasied, thanked and reognised aswell.
Nothing else to say tonight

Still Going.........................................
Well Hello
What a big change is coming, countries in lockdown, Borders closed and still having to go to work.
This all reminds me of the Torchwood series Miracle Day, Different premise but still the same things happening. So what are we to do when the shops close and people are out of work and the govenment has still not done what it promised to do..................
Well you could go on the streets......... Oh forgot, that may not be allowed soon
You can go into the open spaces and get some fresh air...... how can you do that when you are supposed to be staying in and limiting contact. Thats it go in the car.... oh that adds to global warming and pollution.....
You could watch telly....... oh that is wall to wall CV news...............
Use your computer..... that will cause health issues like eye strain, RSI, .........
Oh well the best thing is to go to bed and try to sleep. ...................
Then what happens
BABY BOOM from December onwards. Hope the government are prepared....... for the extra strain on rebuilding the infrastructure of the country after the economy has collasped.
Then what..............
Well lets see how things pan out
Help your neighbours if you can
Stop buying more than you need
Vent your spleen on places and platforms like this.
Join an online book group
Keep connected via social media or write letters
Oh by the way you could always
